The journey from first foods to confident eating isn’t always smooth sailing. Despite your best efforts, you might find yourself dealing with food refusal, limited preferences, or worrying about whether your child is getting enough nutrition. The common saying “food before one is just for fun” couldn’t be more misleading – these early experiences lay the foundation for your child’s relationship with food. Whether you’re just starting weaning or dealing with established picky eating, understanding the ‘why’ behind fussy eating is the first step to positive change.
If you find yourself saying ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, this course is for you.
This course is designed for parents and caregivers dealing with or wanting to prevent fussy eating behaviours. Whether you’re just starting your weaning journey, dealing with established picky eating, or supporting a child with neurodivergent eating patterns, this course offers support in these areas. It’s particularly valuable for families who want to understand the deeper reasons behind food selectivity and build positive, long-term eating habits.
In this six-module course, you’ll gain deep insights into the causes of fussy eating and practical strategies to overcome it. You’ll learn why common approaches like “airplane” spoons don’t create lasting change, understand the crucial link between sleep and eating, and discover how to handle both temporary fussiness (due to illness or teething) and longer-term challenges related to sensory sensitivity and neurodivergence. The course includes video and audio modules, supporting notes, and additional resources, all accessible via desktop or mobile device.
Start the journey today and make mealtime a joyful part of your family routine.
A comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing fussy eating, from prevention to intervention. Here’s what you’ll learn in each module:
In Module One, we explore the crucial connection between sleep and eating behaviours. You’ll learn how poor sleep can affect appetite and food choices, understand other underlying causes of fussy eating, and discover how to create an environment that promotes positive eating habits. We’ll examine how various factors, including family dynamics and professional support, influence eating patterns.
Module Two focuses on the nutritional aspects of feeding. You’ll learn about balancing calories and macronutrients, understand the role of milk feeds in your child’s diet, and discover how to time snacks effectively. We’ll provide practical guidance on ensuring your child receives adequate nutrition even during fussy phases.
Module Three tackles prevention strategies and common misconceptions. You’ll learn why popular feeding techniques like “airplane” spoons don’t create lasting change, understand how to avoid common pitfalls that contribute to fussiness, and discover evidence-based approaches to building healthy eating habits.
Module Four examines why children naturally become more selective with food as they grow and how to handle this development appropriately. You’ll learn strategies for supporting children through normal phases of selectivity, understand how to address more persistent fussy eating, and gain tools for managing challenging mealtime behaviours.
Module Five addresses temporary food refusal during illness and teething. You’ll learn how to distinguish between temporary and persistent food refusal, discover strategies for maintaining nutrition during challenging periods, and understand when and how to adapt your approach during these times.
Module Six provides specialised guidance for supporting children with neurodivergent eating patterns. You’ll learn about sensory processing and its impact on eating, understand common feeding challenges in neurodivergent children, and discover tailored strategies to support positive eating experiences for children with different sensory needs.

Hi, I’m Hannah Love. For the past 25 years, I’ve been helping families with their babies and children.
In my twenties, I completed three university courses in Paediatric Nursing, Nutritional Therapy, and Cranial Sacral Therapy, while nannying for pro golfers. My experiences taught me to juggle family life effectively.
In my thirties, I raised my own three children, built a house, and founded and grew the Yummy Baby business. We love traveling, weekends away, festivals, and camping trips!
Through Yummy Baby and my newer venture, Sleep Well With Hannah, I’ve combined my experience and training to help hundreds of families. My CALM (Consistent, Achievable, Loving, Manageable) approach covers feeding, weaning, nutrition, behavior, and sleep. My greatest achievement is helping families enjoy day-to-day life with a happy, sleeping baby.
I believe every family and baby is unique. I support you in finding solutions that work for you. My practical and effective approach ensures families worldwide recommend me and return for help with subsequent children.
I’m happiest when helping other families enjoy family life as much as I do. Together with my husband of over 15 years, Daryl, we make time for lots of fun, cooking, and entertaining friends. I look forward to helping your family too.
