While breastfeeding provides wonderful bonding and nutrition for your baby, there often comes a time when introducing a bottle becomes necessary or desired. Whether you’re returning to work, seeking more flexibility, or wanting to share feeding responsibilities, this transition can feel overwhelming. What seems like a simple change can become complex when your little one resists the bottle, leaving you unsure about the best approach.
If you find yourself saying ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, this course is for you.
This course is designed for breastfeeding parents who need or want to introduce bottle feeding. Whether you’re planning ahead for returning to work, seeking more feeding flexibility, or finding yourself with a bottle-resistant baby, this course provides comprehensive support. It’s particularly valuable for parents whose babies rely on breastfeeding not just for nutrition, but also for comfort, sleep, and soothing and this is meaning frequent feeds that are unmanageable for you now.
In this four-module course, you’ll gain a deep understanding of your baby’s relationship with feeding and learn practical strategies for a successful transition to the bottle. You’ll discover why simple bottle introduction often isn’t enough and learn how to address all aspects of your baby’s feeding experience. The course includes a bonus module on fussy eating, giving you valuable insights into your baby’s long-term feeding journey. You’ll finish with a clear, practical plan for introducing the bottle in a way that works for both you and your baby.
A comprehensiveapproach to help your baby accept bottle feeding successfully. Here’s what you’ll learn in each module:
In Module One, you’ll get a thorough overview of the bottle transition journey. We’ll set clear expectations and help you understand what success looks like, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the steps ahead. This foundation module helps you develop a positive mindset for the transition.
Module Two explores the psychology behind bottle resistance. You’ll learn why your baby might be reluctant to accept a bottle and understand the multiple roles that breastfeeding plays in their life. We’ll examine key considerations from your baby’s perspective, helping you appreciate and address their needs during this transition.
Module Three breaks down each aspect of feeding transition, from calories to comfort. You’ll learn practical strategies for managing day and night feeds, establishing predictable feeding timings, and address comfort feeding. We’ll cover both pre-weaning and post-weaning solid food considerations, ensuring you have tools for every stage of the journey.
Module Four focuses on practical bottle introduction techniques. You’ll learn optimal timing based on your baby’s age, how to choose the right bottle, who should offer it, and how to integrate bottle feeding into your daily routine. This module provides the specific, actionable steps you need for successful bottle acceptance.
Just wanted to write a little thank you post to Hannah Love Costello. Having breast fed my daughter for 8 months I was very ready to wean her onto a bottle, but she refused to take one.
I read on here about the bottle feeding course, bought it and three weeks later- she’s fully on the bottle!! Turns out I was doing all the wrong stuff ( 4 different bottles, different formulas, random times). Genuinely can’t believe the quick success after buying the course … thank you very much Hannah! I’ve spent the last 25 years helping families with their babies and children.
In my twenties I completed three university courses – in Paediatric Nursing, Nutritional Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy, whilst traveling the world nannying for pro golfers.
In my thirties I raised my own 3 children (Oliver born in 2008, Ella in 2012 and Henry in 2015), built a house, and founded and grew my new parenting business.
Through Sleep Well with Hannah, I’ve brought together all my experience and training to help hundreds of other families learn to juggle family life and, most importantly, sleep well.
I see myself as more than a sleep trainer – my deep knowledge in babies and children is what makes families feel confident in my hands, and is what makes my programmes, talks and courses work.
Through my CALM (Consistent, Achievable, Loving and Manageable®) approach to parenting I not only teach parents how to manage their baby’s feeding, weaning, nutrition, behaviour, and my most popular subject – sleep – I also teach confidence and how to enjoy juggling life with a baby. My greatest achievement is bringing many families out of dark, sleepless places to enjoying day to day life with their happy, sleeping baby.
I recommend this course to anyone who is struggling with their toddler’s behaviour as this can be a very simple issue to address with the right knowledge and tools, which I will teach you in this course.
