Who is this course for?

This course is designed for parents and caregivers who want clarity and confidence around dummy use and removal. Whether you’re questioning if the dummy is affecting your child’s sleep, looking to implement better dummy rules, or ready to begin the removal process, this course provides the guidance you need. It’s suitable for parents of babies and toddlers of all ages, particularly those seeking a gradual, supportive approach to dummy removal.

What will you get from this course?

In this two-module course, you’ll gain expert insights into dummy use and removal strategies. You’ll learn age-appropriate approaches, understand the difference between dummy-related and non-dummy-related sleep issues, and receive practical tools for implementing changes. The course includes a bonus module on cot-to-bed transition, giving you a complete toolkit for these important milestones. You’ll finish feeling confident in your approach, whether you’re setting healthy dummy boundaries or ready to begin the removal journey.

What you will learn

In Module One, you’ll explore the foundations of dummy use, including essential rules for all ages and how to identify if your dummy is causing sleep issues. We’ll cover the dummy versus thumb debate, age-appropriate guidelines, and key considerations for different developmental stages. You’ll gain clarity on whether your current dummy situation needs adjustment and how to make informed decisions for your child.

Module Two focuses on the practical aspects of dummy removal. You’ll learn age-specific preparation strategies, particularly for toddlers, and discover gentle removal techniques for different age groups (under 6 months, 6-24 months, and over 24 months). We’ll explore how to minimize dummy-related issues and understand the difference between protest and upset crying, ensuring you can support your little one through the transition.

The bonus module addresses the important transition from cot to bed, which often coincides with dummy removal. You’ll learn how to time these changes, which to tackle first, and strategies to make both transitions smoother for your little one.

Hi I'm Hannah Love

I’ve spent the last 25 years helping families with their babies and children.

In my twenties I completed three university courses – in Paediatric Nursing, Nutritional Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy, whilst traveling the world nannying for pro golfers.

In my thirties I raised my own 3 children (Oliver born in 2008, Ella in 2012 and Henry in 2015), built a house, and founded and grew my new parenting business.

Through Sleep Well with Hannah, I’ve brought together all my experience and training to help hundreds of other families learn to juggle family life and, most importantly, sleep well.

I see myself as more than a sleep trainer – my deep knowledge in babies and children is what makes families feel confident in my hands, and is what makes my programmes, talks and courses work.

Through my CALM (Consistent, Achievable, Loving and Manageable®) approach to parenting I not only teach parents how to manage their baby’s feeding, weaning, nutrition, behaviour, and my most popular subject – sleep – I also teach confidence and how to enjoy juggling life with a baby.  My greatest achievement is bringing many families out of dark, sleepless places to enjoying day to day life with their happy, sleeping baby.

I recommend this course to anyone who is struggling with their toddler’s behaviour as this can be a very simple issue to address with the right knowledge and tools, which I will teach you in this course.
